These rules are not currently in use. A vote to implement these will be taken in the October 2025 AGM, Until then, if you have any comments about the rules, be it rules you don’t think should be there, rules you think should be changed, rules you think should be added, then please let us know via discord, or via email at directors@leicesterhackspace.org.uk

Donations and Loans

Donating old equipment to the Hackspace is a great way to get rid of old equipment but ensure it still gets use.
The Hackspace also accepts items and devices that people might be able to hack or make use of.

The Hackspace is not a tip, we cannot accept every tool or device we’re offered.
Anything donated to the Hackspace has to be approved by the directors first.

If you wish to donate something, please reach out to us on discord on the #donations channel or come find any of the directors at the space.

If you have some equipment you want to make available to the members of the Hackspace, but do not want to part with it forever, then you can offer it to the space under indefinite loan.
Equipment will be loaned at your own risk, we cannot promise that loaned equipment won’t be damaged, but we can promise that we will do our best to maintain it and fix any issues we encounter with it.
